A PROTEST has held on Christmas Island where survivors of Wednesday's asylum-seeker boat disaster are recovering from their ordeal. About a dozen security guards watched what was a peaceful if noisy protest by the detainees. What the detainees were protesting about but it could have been caused by an island wide power outage which has shut down the air conditioning units at the facility.
100 asylum-seekers, including women and children, this afternoon massed in an open area of the Phosphate Hill detention centre, shouting and chanting Help UN.
.why UN not help this is up to you.
